2. Network Compatibility: Only 2.4GHz private Wi-Fi networks are supported. Public hotspots and 5GHz Wi-Fi are not supported.
3. System Requirements: Ensure your mobile device is running iOS 13.0 or higher, or Android 6.0 or higher.
4. Pairing Preparation: Verify your network ID and password. Ensure your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you intend to use for the camera before beginning the pairing process.
5. Account Re-pairing: To pair a previously connected camera to a new account, you must first remove it from the current account. In the Sense-U Baby app, go to Video Device Settings (gear icon) > Delete.
6. Notification Settings: To receive audible alerts, ensure notifications are enabled in your phone's system settings (Settings > Notifications > Sense-U Baby).
• Android: Ensure "Media Volume" is enabled in Settings > Sounds and Vibration > Volume.
• iOS: Ensure your device is not in Do Not Disturb or Silent mode.
7. Two-Way Audio: Enable permissions in Settings > Apps > Sense-U Baby > Microphone & Camera. Then, tap the speaker and microphone icons within the app to activate audio. 8. Safety Warning: DO NOT mount the camera on rough or unstable surfaces, as it may fall and cause injury or damage.

2.1 Product Overview
2.2 Setting up the Sense-U Outdoor Camera
2.2.1 Get ready to pair
1. Initial Charge: Charge the camera for at least 3 hours using the included USB cable and a 5V/1A power adapter. The indicator light will remain solid WHITE while charging and turn off when the device is fully charged.
2. Placement: Position the camera near your Wi-Fi router to ensure a stable connection during setup.
3. Power On: Turn on the camera. A flashing RED light and an audible tone indicate the device is ready to pair. If this does not happen, press and hold the Reset button for at least 5 seconds.
2.2.2 Set up the Sense-U App
1. Download the free Sense-U Baby app, available for iOS and Android from the Apple App Store and Google Play.
2. Allow all requested permissions for the Sense-U app, e.g Location, Bluetooth, no optimization of battery usage, etc.
3. Create a free Sense-U account.
2.2.3 Pair the Device
1. Select Device:
Open the app and choose your camera model.
2. Wi-Fi Connection:
Select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
* The camera requires a 2.4GHz network, but your phone can return to a 5GHz network once setup is finished.
Power on the device. Flashing RED light and a prompt tone indicate the device is ready for pairing. If not, hold the Reset button for 5+ seconds.
3. Scan QR Code:
Hold the QR code displayed in the app 6–12 inches (15–30 cm) in front of the camera lens.
The LED will change from flashing RED to flashing GREEN.
Once you hear the confirmation tone, the LED will turn solid GREEN, indicating successful pairing.
4. Live Stream:
Once paired, the app will vibrate and return to the home screen.
* "Unable to pair" Error: If you see this error, follow the on-screen instructions to send us an image of the barcode. Please allow one business day for us to manually unlink the camera from the previous account.
2.3 Mounting the Device
2.3.1 Select a Location
2.3.2 Installation Angle
For the most effective motion detection, install the camera at an angle. The PIR sensor works best when objects move across its field of view at an angle greater than 10°. If an object moves directly (vertically) toward the sensor, detection may be delayed or missed.
Detection Distance: 23 feet (7 meters) by default. Detection Angle: 120° horizontal field of view.
2.3.3 Mount the Device
Fixing methods:
1. Place the mounting bracket against the wall. Drill holes with a suitable drill bit.
2. Firmly screw the camera to the mounting bracket. Rotate it to adjust the view.
3 TROUBLESHOOTING
1. The indicator light flashes GREEN, and pairing fails: If the LED continues to flash green after a pairing attempt, it likely indicates an incorrect Wi-Fi password or a poor network connection. Power cycle the device until the indicator light flashes red, then try the pairing process again.
2. The wireless range: The Wi-Fi range between the camera and your router can reach up to 300 feet (91 meters), depending on your home’s layout and environmental interference. Once connected, you can view the live video stream from your mobile device anywhere as long as a cellular data network is available.
3. The LED is solid GREEN but with a "Timeout Error": The device has successfully connected, but the app status has not refreshed. Please log out of the Sense-U app and log back in to update the device status.
4. The device will not connect to the Wi-Fi network: Verify that your Wi-Fi password is correct and your internet connection is stable. Move both the camera and your mobile device closer to the router and try again. Please note that only 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks are supported; mobile hotspots and 5GHz networks are not compatible.
5. The LED is solid GREEN when trying to pair it to a new account: To register a camera to a different account, you must first remove it from the original account. In the Sense-U Baby app, go to Video Device Settings (gear icon) > Delete. Alternatively, use a reset pin to hold the Reset button on the back of the device until it beeps, then try again.
6. Error of "Unable to Pair" with a barcode: For security purposes, a camera must be unlinked from its previous account before it can be added to a new one. Navigate to Setup > Manage Devices > Sense-U Video > Device Info (three dots) > Delete. If you cannot access the previous account, please email us the error barcode you received to reactivate the device.
7. Unable to receive audible notifications: To receive audible alerts, ensure notifications are enabled in your phone's system settings (Settings > Notifications > Sense-U Baby). On Android, ensure Media Volume is turned up in Settings > Sounds and Vibration > Volume. On iOS, ensure your device is not in Do Not Disturb or Silent mode.
8. Unable to hear or speak through the app: For two-way audio functionality, ensure the app has permission to access your Microphone and Camera in your phone's system settings (Settings > Apps > Sense-U Baby). Once enabled, tap the speaker and microphone icons within the app to activate the audio.
