1 READ ME FIRST
- The Sense-U Video camera, and the Sense-U Smart Baby Monitor are not medical devices, and are not intended for use in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions, or in the cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease.
- Only 2.4GHz private WiFi networks are supported. Hotspot WiFi and 5GHz WiFi are not supported.
- Make sure your mobile device is running iOS 9.0 & up, or Android 4.3 & up.
- Enter correct WiFi network ID, password and make sure your mobile device in the same WiFi network before pairing to the Sense-U Video camera.
- If the indicator light keeps flashing GREEN after pairing, most likely the WiFi password or network connection is not right; If the indicator light is solid GREEN after pairing, log out and log in again to check the status of the Video camera.
- To pair a connected Sense-U Video camera to a new account, you need to delete it first by tapping “Delete” button from the Sense-U Baby app->Video Device Settings (setup icon on the home page)->Delete first.
- For audible notifications, notifications need to switch on for the Sense-U app in Settings->Notifications->Sense-U Baby. For Android device, make sure Media Volume is switched on in Settings->Sounds and Vibration->Volume. For iOS device, make sure your mobile device is not in Do Not Disturb mode.
- For two-way audio, please turn on the Camera and Microphone permissions in Settings->Apps->Sense-U Baby->Microphone & Camera and tap speaker and microphone icons in the app to enable it.
- DO NOT adhere the Sense-U Video camera on a ROUGH wall in case it falls and hurts your child.

2.1 Product Overview
2.2 Setting up the Sense-U Outdoor Camera
2.2.1 Charge / Power on the Device
1. The Sense-U Outdoor camera is battery-powered and needs to be charged for at least 3 hours before using. Charge it with the enclosed type-C power cord and 5V / 1A adapter. The charging indicator should show solid GREEN during charging and will switch off when fully charged.
2. Move the Sense-U camera device close to your WiFi router and make sure you are able to connect to internet.
3. Power on the device by pressing the Power button. The Sense-U device should flash RED or a prompt tone is heard, indicating it is waiting for pairing. If not, long press the Reset button for 3 seconds to reset.
2.2.2 Set up the Sense-U App
- Download the free Sense-U Baby app, available for iOS and Android from the Apple App Store and Google Play.
- Allow all requested permissions for the Sense-U app, e.g Location, Bluetooth, no optimization of battery usage, etc.
- Create a free Sense-U account.
2.2.3 Pair the Device
- Choose the Device
Add the device from the Sense-U app->Setup->Add Device.
* Select the child or object you want to assign this device to.
- Connect to the WiFi
Choose your 2.4GHz WiFi network and enter the password.
* 5GHz WiFi and hotspot WiFi networks are not supported.
Power on the device by pressing the Power button. The device should flash RED or a prompt tone is heard, indicating it is waiting for pairing. If not, long press the Reset button for 3+ seconds to reset.
- Scan the QR code
Place the QR code on the app in front of the device, within a distance of 6''-12'' (15-30 cm). The LED indicator will change from flashing RED to solid BLUE and a prompt tone is heard, meaning the device has been paired successfully.
* If no prompt, try Auto Scan following the onscreen instruction.
- Stream the Video
When the device is successfully paired, the Sense-U app will vibrate once and redirect to the home screen.
* "Unable to pair" Error: Follow the instruction and send us the bar code image. Allow one business day for us to unlink the camera from your account.
2.3 Mounting the Device
2.3.1 Select a Location
The camera can be mounted both outdoors and indoors, on a wall or a ceiling. Select a location where you can get the desired view. We recommend hanging it 7-10 feet (2-3 meters) above the ground.
The ideal viewing distance is 7-33 feet (2-10 meters), which allows a person to be recognized.
* To maximize the solar panel efficiency, select a location where the solar-powered camera can receive more sunlight.
2.3.2 Ideal Installation Angle
When installing the camera, please install the camera angularly (the angle between the sensor and the detected object is larger than 10° for effective motion detection.
If the moving object approaches the PIR sensor vertically, the sensor may not be able to detect the motion events.
Tips:
. The PIR sensor's detecting distance: 20feet (6 m), in default.
. The PIR sensor's detecting angle: 120o (H)
2.3.3 Mount the Device
There are 2 fixing methods:
Magnetic Bracket:
- Drill a hole with a suitable drill bit.
- Insert a screw and tighten it. Hang the magnetic bracket on the screw. Rotate the camera to adjust the view and check it using the live stream in the Sense-U app.
Bracket:
- Place the mounting bracket against the wall. Drill holes with a suitable drill bit.
- Firmly screw the camera to the mounting bracket. Rotate it to adjust the view.

Device Settings
- BASIC SETTINGS
Device Name: The name of your device
Assigned To: A child, a nursery room, or any object that the device is used to monitor, or the location where the device is located
Change WiFi Network: Update WiFi UUID or password
Low Battery Alert Threshold: Custom setting low battery alarm threshold
Basic Function Settings: Status Indicator, Flip Screen, Time Watermark, Video Quality, IR Night Vision, etc
- MOTION SETTINGS
Motion Detection: receive notification when motion is detected
PIR Sensitivity Level: the higher the level, the smaller motion can be detected
- SD CARD SETTINGS Card Status: Normal / Abnormal / Unavailable
- DELETE: Delete before pairing a connected device to another account.
4 TROUBLESHOOTING
- The indicator light keeps flashing Green and was unable to pair
If the indicator light keeps flashing GREEN after pairing, most likely the WiFi password you entered or network connection is not right. Restart the power of your device until the indicator light changes to flashing RED and try again.
- What’s the Wireless Range?
The WiFi distance between Sense-U Video camera and your router can be up to 300 feet (92m) depending on the location of your home router and the environment. You can check the video on mobile device from anywhere, as long as cellular data network is available.
- The indicator light is in solid Green after pairing but I received timeout error
Log out and log in again to update the status of the device.
- The device cannot connect to my WiFi network.
Make sure the WiFi password you entered is correct and the network connection is good. Move the device and mobile device closer to the router and try again. Only 2.4GHz WiFi networks are supported (Hotspot WiFi and 5GHz WiFi networks are not supported).
- The indicator light is in solid Green when I pair it to a new Sense-U account
To pair a connected Sense-U Video device to a new account, you need to delete it first by tapping “Delete” button from the Sense-U Baby App->Video Device Settings (setup icon on the home page)->Delete first. Alternatively, you can press the Reset Button on the back of the device using a reset pin until the device starts to beep, and try again.
- I got “unable to pair” error with a bar code
For security purpose, to pair a connected device to a new Sense-U account, the device needs to be removed from current account first by tapping the Sense-U app->Setup->Manage Devices->Sense-U Video->Device Info(Three Dots)->Delete. Send us an email with the error bar code you received to reactivate the device.
- There is no audible notification when notification goes off
To receive audible notifications, notifications need to switch on for the Sense-U Baby App in Settings->Notifications->Sense-U Baby. For Android device, make sure Media Volume is switched on in Settings->Sounds and Vibration->Volume. For iOS device, make sure your mobile device is not in Do Not Disturb mode.
- I cannot hear or speak to my child in the Sense-U Baby app.
For two-way audio, please turn on the Camera and Microphone permissions in Settings->Apps->Sense-U Baby->Microphone and Camera and tap the speaker and microphone icons in the app to enable it.
