How to Avoid Unexpected Temperature & Sleep Position Notifications
1. Identity the type of your Baby Device
As you may notice, there are two types of the Sense-U Baby Devices: Skin Temp Device v.s Feeling Temp Device. The main difference is the Skin Temp Device has a metal tip, while the Feeling Temp Device only has a temperature hole. It is important to choose the right temperature mode, and wear the device following the instructions below, to avoid unexpected sleep position and temperature readings.
2. For Skin Temp Device, it can measure both skin temperature, and feeling temperature while worn in different ways. Here is how:
2.a) To measure skin temperature:
- Set the temperature mode to Skin Temperature from the Sense-U Baby app: Setup->Manage Devices->Child's Baby Monitor-> Temperature Notification->Skin Temperature.
- Align the baby icon on the device to the same direction as your child's body direction, with the temperature tip towards the body. Then, attach the Sense-U Baby Device to your child's waist, right next to the belly button.
2.b) To measure feeling temperature:
- Set the temperature mode to Feeling Temperature from the Sense-U Baby app: Setup->Manage Devices->Child's Baby Monitor-> Temperature Notification->Feeling Temperature.
- Align the baby icon on the device to the same direction as your child's body direction, with the temperature tip towards the air. Then, attach the Sense-U Baby Device to your child's waist, right next to the belly button.
3. For Feeling Temp Device, since it can only measure the feeling temperature, the wearing instruction is the same as 2.b) .
4. Allow up to 30 minutes before the temperature gets ready to read.
It may take up to 30 minutes for the displayed temperature to become stable and accurate to read. Only read the temperature when it is stable and ready to read.
5. Turn off the Sense-U Baby Device if not in use.
If not in use for a while, it is recommended to put the Sense-U Baby Monitor in Sleep Mode by tapping the Home Button in the App. It will save power and avoid unexpected readings.
