Sense-U Baby 3: Understanding the Readings – Help Center

The Sense-U Baby Monitor has three main readings: child's abdominal movement, feeling(ambient) Temperature, and sleep position.

Movement

Movement refers to the baby's abdominal movement rate. The Sense-U Baby is designed to notify you if this reading dips below 5/min.

< 5/min: Slow movement detected

Foot Icon: Wiggle movement detected

OFF：Movement notification switched off

--(dash): Wearing detection(Beta) switched on.

* To show movement readings, the movement notification needs to switch on from the Sense-U Baby App

>Baby Device Settings (setup icon on home screen)->Baby Notification.

Feeling(ambient) Temperature

Please note that the temperature refers to the temperature around your baby's body, not the exact baby's body temperature. It will be affected by the environmental temperature. The temperature of the abdomen is different from the temperature of the armpit, it is lower than the armpit temperature.

Feeling Temp: Temperature tip towards the air

* It may take 30+ minutes before the displayed temperature becomes stable and ready to read.

To receive proper temperature alerts, please follow the steps to set the temperature alert:

a). Firstly clip the Sense-U Baby onto your baby's diaper(pants/shorts/etc), right next to the belly button.

b). After you get the measured temperature around the baby's body from the Sense-U breathing monitor, please set the High-Temperature Alert value as your measured temperature +3℃/+6℉ and set the Low-Temperature Alert value as your measured temperature -3℃/-6℉.

c). For example, if the measured temperature around your baby is 32℃/90℉, then the High-Temperature Alert value could be 35℃/96℉ and the Low-Temperature Alert value could be 29℃/84℉.

Sleep Position

On the Back, Right Side, Sit Up, Left Side, On the Stomach

For safety considerations, we recommend you put your baby to sleep on his back. When your baby sleeps on the belly, we think there will be a risk of apnea, that's why you will receive an alert "Slow breathing when on the stomach".

If you are sure your baby is safe when sleeping on the belly, maybe you can clip the sensor on their diaper's backside.
