Sock Shoe Cleaning Instructions
To ensure your Sense-U Sock Shoe remains comfortable and safe for your baby, it’s essential to clean it regularly. We recommend washing the fabric Sock Shoe weekly to maintain hygiene and prevent skin irritation.
Important Notes:

CAUTION! The Sock Shoe sensor is NOT waterproof. Turn it off, and never submerge it in water.
- Hand Wash Only: Always hand wash the fabric Sock Shoe to protect its integrity.

Do Not Dry Clean: Avoid using dry cleaning methods, as they can damage the fabric and sensor.

Wash at or Below 30°C: Use cool or lukewarm water to prevent fabric damage.
- Line Dry Only: Hang the fabric Sock Shoe to air dry naturally.

Do Not Tumble Dry: Avoid using a dryer; this can lead to shrinkage and damage.

Do Not Iron: Ironing can warp the sensor and damage the fabric.
Required Supplies:

Gentle laundry detergent (the same mild detergent used for your baby’s clothes)

Clean, damp cloth

Clean, dry towel
-
Sink with a drain plug (or a basin/bowl)
Cleaning Your Fabric Sock Shoe and Sensor:
1. Prepare Your Cleaning Solution:

Plug your sink and fill it with cool to lukewarm water.

Add a small amount of your gentle laundry detergent to the water and mix gently with your hands.
2. Check the Sensor:

Ensure the sensor is turned off before you begin cleaning. If it’s on, turn it off by pressing and holding the power button.
3. Separate the Sensor from the Fabric Sock Shoe:

Only submerge the fabric Sock Shoe in the soapy solution. Do NOT submerge the sensor.
4. Clean the Fabric Sock Shoe:

Gently scrub the Sock Shoe with your hands in the soapy solution, focusing on any soiled areas.

Rinse the Sock Shoe thoroughly under running water until all soap is removed.
5. Clean the Sensor:

Turn OFF the Sock Shoe sensor before cleaning.

Gently wipe the sensor with a damp cloth, concentrating on any soiled areas.

For tougher stains, you can dampen the cloth with a small amount of gentle laundry detergent.

Repeat this process until the sensor is clean, ensuring that no soap or residue is left behind.
6. Drying:

Gently press the sensor onto a dry towel to absorb initial moisture, then lay it flat on the towel to air dry completely.

CAUTION: Never place a wet sensor on the Base Station, and do not expose it to direct sunlight or heat.
7. Final Steps:

Blot the fabric Sock Shoe dry with a towel and hang it or lay it flat to dry completely.

Ensure both the fabric Sock Shoe and sensor are completely dry before reassembling and turning the sensor back on.
When to Replace the Sock Shoe or Sensor:

If the fabric Sock Shoe is stretched out or the fabric is separating.

If the Sock Shoe or the sensor is damaged (ripped, warped, etc.).

If the fastener no longer latches properly.
-
If multiple cleanings fail to remove visible stains or dirt.
